Dylan Schmid has been working professionally as an actor since the age of 9, after beginning his journey at just 6 years old. He has trained and participated in casting workshops around the world with renowned industry figures including Howard Fine, Lisa Beach, Stacey Rice, and many others.

His screen credits span a wide range of film and television, including Once Upon a Time (ABC), Fringe (FOX), 1922(Netflix) opposite Thomas Jane, Shut Eye (Hulu), A Teacher (FX), Snowpiercer (TNT), Disney XD’s Bunks, Woman of the Hour (Netflix, directed by Anna Kendrick), and more.

Beyond acting, Dylan has directed and written short films, and most recently co-wrote and starred in an international Italian feature film (Canadian co-production).

Since 2023, Dylan has operated a self taping and coaching studio, working with actors both in-person and online. He has taught multiple classes at Spotlight Academy, coached abroad in Los Angeles and with AIPA (Australian Institute for Performing Arts), and will be coaching AIPA’s students in preparation for the casting workshop in Los Angeles this January.

Dylan specializes in on-camera performance, audition preparation, and scene work. His coaching style is actor focused, intuitive, and informed by over a decade of on-set experience in film and television.
